Our Story

After many years in the dental industry, Samantha Tran made it her mission to create Glazed, a café that offers an ever changing, innovative selection of doughnuts and savory treats. Locals can visit either location: Arlington or Grand Prairie; have a cup of coffee, and immerse themselves in Europe without ever having to leave Texas.

An assortment of constantly rotating fresh and natural menu items are crafted from scratch daily by Chef Vinny Chhuon, while our baristas whip up drip coffee using Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ beans.

We also believe in “sharing the sweetness,”and do so by giving back to the community. We donate a portion of our proceeds to a different local charity each month.

Samantha Tran
Owner & Founder

Samantha is the founder of Glazed Cafe. Although her primary job is rooted in the dental industry, she has finally realized her dream of opening and running a pastry cafe. For years, Samantha envisioned creating something different than your average doughnut-and-coffee shop; and she has done just that. To her, Glazed represents an environment that is not only warm; but chic, high-end and reminiscent of Europe.

Vinny Chhuon
Chef

Known by the locals as Chef Vinny, Chhuon has been baking alongside his family for nearly two decades. Doughnuts are no mystery to him, as he was also the former owner of Donut Palace in Nederland, Texas. Combining his extensive doughnut-crafting experience with his ﬂair for the innovative, Chhuon has mastered a constant-evolving menu by giving inventive updates to the popular American mainstays of doughnuts and coffee using only quality and fresh ingredients.

No matter what is being baked at the café, we prides ourselves on using the most fresh and natural ingredients we can get our hands on. Yes, that means fresh fruit, less sugar, unbleached flours, and syrups and flavorings that are 100 percent vegan.
